5 puposes of the government:
-make laws
-form a more perfect union
-establish justice
-provide for the common defense
-promote general welfare
-secure liberty
Would you join a revolution if our government wasn't fulfilling the purposes of a government?
I would because America is a free country, and we should live free and not have to worry about not having the freedom and laws we fought for.

You got your list from the Constitution which is good because that's what our govt. says it's supposed to do. Could use a bit more in part II, but overall a good post.
